A group of Residents and Staff from Park House Court Nursing Home travelled to Folly Farm on Monday 4th July 2011.
It was a beautiful day and the Residents very much enjoyed looking at the wide variety of animals in the Park. Residents also enjoyed the Fairground which I’m sure brought back many memories. The day was completed by a delightful picnic prepared by Tom Chef.
Special thanks go to Peter Scoble for driving the minibus, all the friendly and helpful staff at Folly Farm and to the Park House staff who helped to make this a very memorable day out.

On Tueday 21st June 201 Park House Court welcomed the Bishop of St. Davids, who led an ecumenical service of hymns and readings. His address was taken from the lesson of the day. He was joined by the Reverend Cannon Dennis Wight.
The children of Year 5 from Saundersfoot school; who come weekly to Park House as part of their caring theme of their curriculum, joined us for the service. Headmistress of Saundersfoot School, Miss Helen Lester gave a reading and hymns were sung by the residents and children accompanied by Mrs Judy McGilloway and the Griffon Choir.
After the service Bishop Wyn spent time meeting the Residents. He visited Bunny’s Wing and Tenby Cottage Hospital Ward as part of the visit. He then enjoyed lunch with the Griffon Choir and Members of the local community.
The Bishop described the visit as a “humbling and uplifting experience.” Park House Court would like to thank Bishop Wyn and everyone who helped to make this such a very special day.

Celebrations for the Royal Wedding were in full swing at Park House Court Nursing Home and Tenby Cottage Ward on 29/5/11.
The day began raising the Pembrokeshire flag outside Park House followed by a Champagne Breakfast was enjoyed by all. Residents and Staff viewed the wedding together, some within Marquees decorated aptly with Union Jack bunting. Everyone toasted the Royal couple with champagne as they were pronounced man and wife.
Music followed with Laurie Dale who very kindly entertained us all ‘thank you Laurie.’ Before more music with Mr Price, who took us on a trip down memory lane playing his golden oldies.
Lunch was served by our very own ‘English Maids’ and ‘Waiters.’ Our Chef Tom excelled himself again!
All in all a fantastic time was had by everyone. Residents and Staff would like to wish Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge well for the future.
